about
I’m Kira, the artist and designer at Kira Litin Studio and founder of Schmuckatelier HAID & SEEK!
I was born and raised outside of Boston, MA (USA) and moved to Vienna, Austria after finishing university. I’ve spent years loving this craft. Whether it was admiring my grandmother’s jewelry, finding inspiration during my travels, or experimenting with ways to make sculptural elements wearable.
I began my classic training in goldsmithing in Vienna in 2018 at the Academy for Jewellery Crafts and Technology and continued on to complete my Apprenticeship Exam as a Goldsmith / Silversmith / Jeweler in Vienna in April 2021. Since then I’ve had the opportunity to teach gold- and silversmithing, continued to learn different facets of this craft around the world and now have the pleasure of running a studio space in the heart of Vienna.

the idea
The value of a piece of jewelry can be so strongly linked to our connection to it. In my studio, I look to explore those connections by taking inspiration from organic textures, natural forms, as well as from memories until these ideas are blended together into jewelry that feels both personal and timeless. By incorporating reclaimed, recycled and heirloom materials, personal memories infuse each piece with meaning and allow for us to carry the past into the present and make a moment feel timeless. The result is jewelry that feels like more than an accessory; it becomes a wearable story, a bridge between nature, memory and tradition.
At my workbench, I use a combination of traditional and contemporary techniques to craft pieces that eternalize nature, celebrate memories, and embrace contrast.
the materials
All the pieces made in my studio are crafted from recycled materials either from certified suppliers such as Austria’s leading precious metal refinery (ÖGUSSA) or are heirloom materials finding new life in bespoke jewelry. By prioritizing the use of reclaimed materials, I try to create pieces that are both sustainable and meaningful. These precious metals are often combined with traceable, ethically-sourced gemstones to create truly personal, singular pieces.
By focusing on small-scale creation, I create high-quality, timeless pieces with emphasis on low environmental impact – appreciating the history of materials that have taken on new form.
